Tongue Discreet Boldness
The tongue piercing is one of the fastest healing piercings we offer. Hidden when the mouth is closed, it heals quickly and is one of our most requested oral placements.

How We
Approach This
Tongue piercings are placed along the midline of the tongue, with entry and exit points selected to avoid the large vein that runs off-centre. This vein mapping step is non-negotiable — our piercers use a light source to visualize the vein before marking. A longer barbell is used initially to accommodate the significant swelling that occurs in the first week, which is then downsized at 4–6 weeks to a shorter, more comfortable bar.
Vein Mapping Mandatory
We illuminate the tongue to map the central vein before marking. This step cannot be skipped for safety.
Long Starter Bar
A longer-than-final barbell is used initially to accommodate week-one swelling. Downsizing at 4–6 weeks is essential.
Fastest Oral Healer
Oral tissue regenerates uniquely quickly. Most tongue piercings are healed in as little as 4 weeks with proper care.
Step by Step
A transparent, clinical process — no surprises.

Vein Visualization
A transilluminator light is used to locate the central tongue vein. We then mark the entry and exit outside of the vein path.

What We
Put In You
We exclusively use implant-grade materials. Below are the typical starter jewelry options for your Tongue piercing.
Healing Instructions
- Rinse with alcohol-free, unflavoured mouthwash after every meal
- Drink cold water frequently — cold reduces swelling significantly
- Eat soft foods for the first 7–10 days
- Avoid spicy, acidic, or crunchy foods during healing
- Do not consume alcohol — it inflames oral tissue
- Do not play with or click the jewelry — it damages teeth over time
- Return at 4–6 weeks for your mandatory downsize to the shorter bar
Tongue FAQ
Will it affect my speech?
Expect a lisp for the first 7–10 days while your mouth adjusts to the jewelry. This resolves naturally as swelling decreases.
What is 'downsizing' and why is it important?
Your starter bar is longer than needed to accommodate swelling. After healing, a shorter bar must replace it to prevent tooth and gum damage from the bar's excess movement.
Can this damage my teeth?
Correctly downsized jewelry worn responsibly rarely damages teeth. The primary risk is clicking the ball against teeth repeatedly — which we advise against.
